Roaring Fork Valley Trails

The Roaring Fork Valley is home to the Rio Grande Trail, a 44 mile stretch of continuous trail between Aspen and Glenwood Springs!

Glenwood Springs

The City of Glenwood Springs has a beautiful trail system enabling people to easily get around town by walking or biking. The River Trail starts at 23rd and Grande Ave. and continues to the confluence of the Colorado River and the Roaring Fork River. The confluence can be seen from Two Rivers Park.

Aspen/Snowmass

The Aspen trail system provides both summer and winter use making it one of the largest trails systems in the state. The Parks Department manages over 20 miles of hard surface, soft surface and single-track trails. All of our trails are multi-use trails, unless otherwise noted. Please follow all posted closures and permitted uses like walking, hiking, rollerblading, horseback riding and biking. The trail system provides an almost seamless system, interconnected between Aspen/Snowmass and down valley to Woody Creek and Basalt. While on the trails, be sure to take in all the natural surrounding beauty. Click here for a trail guide.
