RFTA Reduces Traffic, Boosts Economy
Since the early 1980s, RFTA has provided transit service to the Roaring Fork Valley. Did you know RFTA carried 4.4 million riders in 2007, a 7.3% increase over 2006?
Bikes on Buses
RFTA makes it easier for bicyclists to get around the valley. Please remember the following guidelines on your next trip.
• Load and unload only at designated bike stops.
• Loading is on a first come/first serve basis.
• Don’t forget your bike lock in the event that the rack on
the bus is full.
• There is space for 4 bikes on bus racks.
• Bikes are allowed on the outside racks until 7:30 pm.
• Bike fares are $2 each way, plus passenger fare.
• Bikes are allowed over the Maroon Creek Bridge in Aspen.
Carriage Way in Snowmass Opens
The “Gap Section” is now open to two-way traffic and Village Shuttles are back to running their normal summer routes.
